Say hello to the new MelodiousVerse next gen, a next generation of ponies from ships I think would work out for the mane 6 (and possibly background characters). There are no ships like dragon x pony in this next gen, only pony x pony ships.

Starlight Sparkle is the daughter of Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle. Starlight wasn't always an alicorn, she was born a unicorn and has always had a great passion to follow in her father's hoofsteps to become a royal guard of Canterlot or the Crystal Empire, but her mother had different plans for Starlight, so Twilight went to Princess Celestia for permission to make Starlight an alicorn to take over Twilight's place as the princess of friendship since she would not live forever like Celestia and Luna. When Starlight figured out this plan, she was upset because she knew she could then no longer pursue her dream to become a guard. Starlight doesn't use her wings all that much so she barely knows how to fly, and she still taught herself how to defend herself and her family from bad guys so she doesn't care that she can't fly. Her father Flash has been helping her a little with self defense and the 2 have kept it their own little secret from Twilight. Ever since then she's gotten new friends that she loves and she protects them as much as she can.
